An estimated 19,000,000 tonnes of new fabric are thrown away every year, before they ever become a garment. Much of it is landfilled or burned. We take that fabric, high quality and already made, and turn it into your garments.
When fabric is laid out and cut into garment pieces, an estimated share of it is left over and never used.
Surplus rolls take up space and money at factories, so they are frequently disposed of instead of reused.
It comes from overproduction and cancelled or changed orders: new, unworn material that is ready to be cut and sewn.
Partner factories list leftover fabric from their production: composition, weight, colour and quantity.
You tell us what you want to make. We match it to the best-fitting fabric available.
A vetted partner factory produces your order, starting from 20 units.

If you want your production done from high-quality leftover fabric, at a lower cost than new material, we should talk.
Our partner factories build high-quality clothes from leftover fabric, and we’re constantly expanding the network. Get in touch to find out what’s available for your project.
We only work with factories and production units that pay their workers fairly.
Ask about the network →Different products, different constructions, one starting point: existing fabric turned into finished garments.
Deadstock doesn’t mean choosing from a fixed catalogue. You define what you want; we build the production around it, using fabric that has already been validated in the market.
Illustrative. Actual deadstock availability changes; we confirm fabric options for every brief.
The fabric already exists, so it costs a fraction of new material. Labour stays exactly where it should: we only work with factories and production units that pay their workers fairly.
Illustrative. Conventional order indexed to 100.
Your project starts with unused factory fabric that already exists.
You tell us what you need; we find the most suitable materials available for the project.
Existing fabric goes back into production instead of being discarded.
Deadstock is limited. Availability changes, and when a fabric is gone, it’s gone.
“I grew up around these factories. Hugo and I spent years running productions for brands around the world, and on every one we saw the same thing: perfectly usable fabric, left over and thrown away. Dead Stock Society exists to put it to work.”
Tell us what you want to make. We’ll find the fabric and the factory, and handle production, quality control and shipping.
